Theatre 21 Puts on Second Weekend of "Animorphs"
Biola's Theatre 21 is going to have its second and closing weekend of its spring production "Animorphs" this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Based on the works of the great writer K.A. Applegate, the play centers around 13 of the most iconic tales of the classic book series.
"This is one the most beautiful works of theatrical literature," says Julia Thomas, a senior Communication major who plays several roles within the production, including Girl with a Basket and Dolphin #2. "It deals with themes of human transformation - both through the literal animorphing, but also the ways that our character is tested and grows over time. I am so honored to be in this production."
The play features a very unique set design that has never been done before in Theatre 21. Several live trees were planted in the ground of the theatre to enhance the experience of the forest in which the majority of the play is set.
The remaining show dates are 13, 14, 15.

In all seriousness, Biola Theatre 21 is *actually* putting on a production of Mary Zimmerman's "Metamorphoses" (which has no connection to the Animorphs series whatsoever). It is a play about the transforming power of love, based on 13 of the classic Greek myths. Tickets can be purchased online: bit.ly/metamorphoses-tickets
