The Bells' 5 Tips for Surviving Finals Week

As finals week approaches, the pressure placed on students increases. We at the Bells are here to help. Here are a few tips to get you through finals week.

1. Cry yourself to sleep

Recent research indicates that crying right before falling asleep can improve restfulness. Students who reported crying themselves to sleep also reported feeling more rested and ready to take on the day ahead of them.

2. Remember, you can afford to wait another day to study

Why stress when you can wait another day to tackle that paper or study for that final? Remember that you always have more time, you can afford to procrastinate. YouTube is just one click away.

3. Eat away your pain

Every once in awhile indulgence is a good thing. The Caf is a buffet so take your fill.

4. If you need a break from all the stress, turn on the news

When you're feeling extra stressed just turn on the news. All the uplifting positivity coming from your television screen will lift your spirits and you'll be ready to get back to work. Fox News? NBC? It doesn't matter. Any station will do just fine!

To be honest, I personally haven't watched the news in a while, but I plan on watching the Today Show first thing finals week. I saw Matt Lauer was trending on Twitter the other day. Hopefully it was for him winning a Pulitzer in journalism.

5. If all else fails, bargain with God for a miracle

Are you unprepared for your finals? Well if all else fails just bargain with God for a miracle. Something like, "God I swear I will never watch another R rated movie if you just let me pass this test," or "If you just give me this one miracle, I swear I will tithe this month."

Hopefully these tips will help you to survive finals week. We wish every student luck on their tests!
