BREAKING: Men’s Soccer Player gets ejected from match after questioning referee’s “flawed theology”
La Mirada, CA -- Biola University Soccer captain Kevin Kanton has faced a permanent 6 game suspension after rudely and violently attacking a referee during last week’s game against Westmont.
According to eyewitnesses, Kevin stormed over to the referee and criticised him for his “flawed theology” after making a questionable out of bounds call. While the referee claims to hold no religious affiliation, Kanton reportedly kept shouting at the Ref, calling him a “Universalistic Arminian”, “Old Earth Creationist” and an “Azusa graduate”. After several interactions, the referee ejected Mr. Kanton from the game, referencing Psalm 7:6 as the reason for ejection.
Psalm 7:6: “Arise, O Lord, in your anger; lift yourself up against the fury of my enemies; awake for me; you have appointed a judgment.”
Mr. Kanton refused to comment on the incident and is currently re-taking his Theology I class.
