A recent leak from Biola’s Cinema and Media Arts department may suggest that students haven’t seen the last of Canada’s famed docuseries “Young Once”. In the report, representatives from the show made some startling suggestions.
“We believe the show will need to have a new edge to it, something the kids will like. We’ve seen the success of the Hunger Games franchise and we thought - why couldn’t this work on a college campus?”
Details from the new “twist” state that the library will be converted into an arena, and one student from each dorm will be selected to participate in a series of rigorous challenges selected from Levitical Old Testament law. The contest will run continually until one student emerges victor. Student feedback on the idea was mostly positive.
“I think this could be a great opportunity for dorms to earn more spirit points,” SGA President Jordan Winter suggested, “Plus, this will be an exciting opportunity for the world to see how passionate Biola students are about upholding Old Covenant Law.”
Bible Professor Teddy Billiams seemed to disagree with the new idea saying, “There’s -- I don’t even -- We’ve all read the New Testament, right?”
