LEAKED: Torrey Conference 2016 Theme

An inside source let slip early this morning that the theme for this year’s Torrey Conference will be “Submission.”

Upon further cornering, the source confided with a smile that the team responsible for planning this year’s Torrey Conference had been taking a pulse of Biola’s campus climate for months. What they found was a huge spiritual need to return to one of the most important fundamentals of Christian relationships: submission.

“Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands.”

After one of our reporters chased the source down in the church parking lot for a follow-up about their reasons for choosing “submission”, she further intimated, “Since the majority of students on campus are female, I was shocked there have not been more seminars on the subject already. Why else are we here but to learn real life skills for our future roles in society?”

When our reporter expressed slight surprise at the remark, she added, “Sorry, you hadn’t even asked a question yet. It wasn’t my place,” before lightly prancing the rest of the way to her yellow Volkswagen Beetle.

We have been told you can look out for exciting new features in this year’s conference, including special cotton head coverings with Submission 2016 printed on them, large Submission 2016 belt buckles for our more dominant Biolans, and beautiful velvet partitions in overflow rooms for everyone to enjoy.
