AS Starts Biola Earthquake Club

This month, AS has decided to shake things up a bit in its decision to sponsor the brand new Biola Earthquake Club.

“It seems so fun and adventurous. We’re really trembling with excitement,” club founder Rachel Bergman said.

The epicenter of the club will be meetings every Friday at 9:00 am at the top level of the new parking structure.

“It may come as a shock to some people, but I feel that there is so much potential,” Bergman continued. “I really can’t find fault in it.”

At first, the club was unsure if they would be able to purchase a seismograph. Fortunately, the $8,000 budged proposed to AS was approved by a landslide.

The soil purpose of this club will be to experience the natural phenomenon that has recently been affecting California. The club’s hardcore members are dedicated to waiting all day to feel the earth tremble.

Bergman told The Bells correspondent that all students should come prepared. “We recommend wearing hard hats, shoulder pads, and knee pads. It’s going to be a very moving experience.”

Possible names for the group that were rejected included “Movers and Shakers,” “Crack Addicts,” “Magma Masters” and “Lava Lovers.”

When asked if the group has any religious affiliation with the Quakers, Bergman had no comment.

“There’s a typical Biola stereotype, and we’re really trying to shift out of that.” Bergman expressed that she desired to cross the divide between different student groups.

As for Bergman’s opinion on the club itself she said, “I think it rocks.”
