TOMS Warped Tour 2013 Opens At Creek Park

On Dec. 7, the best bands in alternative and punk rock will unite at Creek Park for the first show of the 2nd annual TOMS Warped Tour. The tour is scheduled to stop at 8 different Christian Universities throughout the month of December. This year’s featured bands are: Blink-182, Yellowcard, Weezer, Green Day, Fall Out Boy, The White Stripes, The Pixies, Bowling for Soup, The All-American Rejects, and Jars of Clay.

“It’s every musician’s dream to play this tour,” a member of the Weezer road crew said. “We’re all super stoked.”

TOUR REKINDLES RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN BIOLA AND CREEK PARK

Tickets for this year’s TOMS Warped Tour nearly sold out within the first few hours that they were available. This caused Biola officials to change the location of the event from Metzger Lawn to Creek Park. Remaining tickets for the tour are being sold at $14.95.

“We’ve really been working hard to rebuild the relationship between Biola and Creek Park,” said Creek Park Senator Kevin Botka. “The offer to host the tour at our park was an olive branch that we could not refuse. Especially since it’s the first stop of the tour.”
