NOVEMBER 2013

GRAND THEFT AUTO - MAYER’S AUDITORIUM

Nov. 4, 11:30 a.m.

Dr. Erik Thoennes reported his scooter was stolen while teaching a class in Mayer’s Auditorium. Eyewitnesses report seeing a student riding away on the scooter wearing a red t-shirt and jeans. Campus Safety is actively investigating the incident; Dr. Erik Thoennes was unavailable for comment.

LITTERING - HART HALL

Nov. 4, 8:56 p.m

Campus Safety charged a student with littering when they attempted to hang christmas lights in the hallway outside of their room. The student complied when asked to put them away until after Thanksgiving.

PETTY THEFT - LOT F

Nov. 5, 8:19 p.m.

A student was seen stealing water from the Fluor Fountain using a cup. When confronted by Campus Safety, the student claimed he was only borrowing the water and would return it when finished. The student mentioned something about immortality, but when asked to explain he fled the scene. The case is still under investigation.

DISTURBING THE PEACE - CHASE GYMNASIUM

Nov. 10, 11:31 p.m.

Campus Safety received a complaint from a group of students outside of Chase Gymnasium about loud noises coming from the Gym. After investigating the claim, the noise was revealed to be due to Midnight Madness. Campus Safety told the complaining students to go home.

INDECENT EXPOSURE - CHASE GYMNASIUM

Nov. 11, 9:48 a.m.

Two students were caught giving each other massages during chapel on Monday morning. Campus Safety fined the female student $25 and fined the male student two high-fives.

BURGLARY - COMMONS BREEZEWAY

Nov. 12, 12:03 a.m.

Campus Safety received a report of burglary from the newly constructed Jared Galleria of Jewelry. After an hour-long pursuit on the T-3 Segways, Campus Safety apprehended the perpetrators. Jared reported a $14.95 engagement ring as still missing.

DISTURBING THE PEACE - CHASE GYMNASIUM

Nov. 13, 9:32 a.m.

A student jumped on stage as chapel began on Friday morning and began talking into the microphone. He managed to say something about Dr. Barry Corey, the Fluor Fountain, and a network of hidden tunnels beneath Biola’s campus before he was forcefully removed by six Campus Safety officers. The student was able to escape soon after, and his whereabouts remain unknown. Campus Safety believes the student is the same one who stole water from the Fluor Fountain earlier this month. The case is still under investigation.

ASSAULT - HOPE HALL

Nov. 20, 10:22 p.m.

Campus Safety received a report of assault on a student in Hope Hall on Sunday night after Singspiration. A female Hope resident lunged at a male resident with a razor in an attempt to remove the beard he has been growing out during the month of November. Sources indicate the victim will not be pressing charges.

DISTURBING THE PEACE - LOT S

Oct. 24, 12:49 a.m.

Campus Safety received a complaint about Campus Safety officers disturbing a group of students' peaceful conversation in the parking structure. Campus Safety complied when asked to leave them alone.

PETTY THEFT - CAFETERIA

Oct. 10, 4:51 a.m.

A student was seen leaving the Cafeteria with a cup in hand. The cup was filled with pink lemonade. Bon Apetit is preparing to press charges.

VANDALISM - METZGER HALL

Oct. 7, 2:37 p.m.

One Biola staff member reported that someone changed the background on his desktop computer to a photograph of Justin Bieber while he was relieving himself. The staff member claims that he did not change the picture himself. Campus Safety is still investigating the incident.

LITTERING - CREEK PARK

Oct. 18, 4:01 p.m.

Complaints were made that Biola students were dumping excess cafeteria food in the creek that runs through Creek Park. Campus Safety officers are unsure why students used this location, but they do not believe that it is gang-related activity.

ILLEGAL TRESPASSING - THE BELLS OFFICE

Oct. 12, 2:17 a.m.

Campus Safety received a report of illegal breaking & entering into the Bells Office, located underground beneath Creek Park. Nothing was reported missing, although a large duck was found roaming the office. The case is still under investigation.

VANDALISM - LOT F

Oct. 22, 2:22 p.m.

The Fluor Fountain was discovered to be filled with milk, although it was functioning normally. A work order was put in to drain, clean, and refill the fountain. Campus Safety is monitoring the Biola Confessions Facebook page as they search for suspects.

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY - TALBOT EAST

Oct. 32, 8:45 p.m.

Campus Safety received a report of suspicious activity in the Talbot East elevator. After further investigation, it was revealed that a group of students were filming a web-series entitled "Dollhouse." The case was cleared by Campus Safety.

PETTY THEFT - HORTON HALL

Oct. 19, 11:18 p.m.

A student reported that the Wi-Fi signal for the Biola INSECURE network had been stolen. Campus Safety quickly investigated the incident. The Wi-Fi signal was returned to the student several minutes later.
