Biola Launches New Dating Website: SingleEagles.com
In a recent initiative to facilitate the connection of Biola University's single population, the school has launched SingleEagles.com, a brand new dating website founded by love expert Robert Carlson, that seeks to bring together Biola's "lonely and looking" within a safe and comfortable environment.
"We are overjoyed at the prospect of giving our fellow eagles a chance to spread their wings and soar." Clyde, Biola’s outspoken Eagle mascot said.
GYRADfinder AND DIGITAL DTR ROOMS AMONG TOP FEATURES
Many students are already excited about the site's "GYRADfinder." Through this feature, users can search the database for the best available matches. Once chosen, the match will have the option to reply with a "Yes," "No," or "Sure, why not?"
Those who have progressed further along with one of their matches can utilize one of SingleEagles' multiple "Digital DTR Rooms," which allow user interface with pre-selected ambient backgrounds such as "Bench outside Dorm" or "Inside of Car."
The site also includes an innovative personal profile system with a matchmaking questionnaire that rates the user and his/her potential matches on seven essential traits and characteristics. These include Extraversion, Humor, and Spiritual Gifts among others.
Based on the results of the questionnaire, males are also given an incubation estimate, or predicted date when they will move out of their parents’ homes, which the school views as an essential part of keeping the Genesis 2:24 mandate.
To join the site, users must simply register with their name, age, living situation, favorite theologian, and a two-page personal creed on the nature and character of God.
SINGLEEAGLES CHOSEN OVER CHAINEDTOGETHER
Although the website officially launched last weekend, the dating website has been in use by small handfuls of beta-testing students since the late 90's. It is speculated that the motive behind keeping SingleEagles hidden to all but a few select students was to give the administration time to decide between endorsing this site, or their other initiative, ChainedTogether, which focused on the facilitation of arranged marriages.
With SingleEagles' profiles doubling every day, it seems that Biola made the right choice.
